I've been stuck in the house the last few days as mom has been busy with school and dad works at night so sleep is important for him during the day. I do get my time with grandma but she doesn't play like mom and dad do. So yesterday was dad's day off so we got to spend the day together. We ended up going to Petco to get my nails clipped because him and mom don't like doing that. I then got to browse around with dad and show him all of the stuff I wanted. I ended up coming home with some yummy biscuits and a few greenies. We then met up with mom for lunch which was a yummy Burger King cheeseburger. Oh how delicious a treat that was. We then went home played at the park for a little while and then oh the joy we went and picked mom up from school. So then tonight mom got home from running errands for school and she popped me in the SUV and off we went. Oh to my surprise we ended up at my favorite park. Well we even ran into my friend Neela the greyhound. Well Neela's mom asked if we were going to go play in the ball fields and mom said yes it was her treat for me being a good boy! So Neela and I were unleashed and off she took. Man that girl can run. I ran after her barking at her to wait for me but she didn't listen. Our moms then decided we needed something to drink after all that running and boy were they right. Next thing you know this cool Doberman Pinscher shows up by the name of Conan and oh even more fun! We all got to play and run and I even got to play tug of war with my beloved frisbee. Well we did some more running and playing when our parents decided it was time for us to go home. Wow I haven't played that hard since gee I can't remember. So it's dark out by now and mom is looking around for my frisbee. Well she left without finding it I can't believe her. But I do understand it's hard to see out there. So now I'm back here enjoying the start to what just might a terrierific weekend. Enjoy yourselves my friends. Oh congrats to my girls Fee and Sunshade you two deserve those awesome awards! Before I forget mom is enjoying her classes and learning again! I'm so proud of her!

Oh the new toy!

Well I'm online for a bit while mom just stares at the TV trying not to think of what classes are going to be like since today was only a half day and they messed up her schedule and she as she figured books weren't available yet. So she's just gonna relax and give me some time online how nice is my mom? Well I'm sure you're reading my title and going ok Oz what exactly is the new toy you have gotten? Well let me show you! Mom and Dad had heard my pleas after reading posts and seeing pictures on moms Yahoo! lists of other WFT's owning a new toy. Mom and Dad both know my deepest obession is getting my teeth on a real live squirrel. Unfortunately I don't have the skills quite yet to get my teeth on that savory creature so they bought me this!

Let me tell you this was one terrific toy! But alas I didn't get to finish this toy since mom got worried about the way the fur I was pulling off was getting a bit swallowed and stuck so poof goes my squirrel. Not fair! I also did get a nice yummy soup bone which I want to thank Axel and his mom Daniella for giving mom that recipe I LOVE it! Tastes so good and makes me drool. It's almost better than my rawhide. So I've been nominated and people voted for me as photo of the month but I think my friend Fee won and that's terrific. Congrats possibly my dear Fee. Oh and congrats to my friend Sunshade she won blog of the month! How cool is that?
I was a little bit disappointed this weekend since we didn't do my weekly dog walk but mom made up for it with a trip to Petco and yep my new toy. Oh I'm glad to hear that Butchy & Snickers clothing line is doing well they were featured on DoggieWire so that anyone who subscribes to that email newsletter will be buying some of their clothing! Congrats and best of luck on all the upcoming business. Your mom makes some terrierific looking stuff!
I'm gonna get going mom's looking a bit tired and I am going to want some kind of a walk and snuggle time. Take care and talk to you all soon.

Hello all,
I'm writing for the first time in a few days and I appologize for my lack of blogging. Well I haven't been available lately because mom has been busy with getting ready to go back to school. She starts on Monday but has been trying to get the house looking like it's clean so dad won't have a ton of cleaning to do since mom's never sure of how well dad is able to clean. So mom has asked that after this weekend to bare with my posts since I won't be able to get online while she is doing homework and whatever else she might have to do in the first few weeks of being back to school after 12 years of being out of school. So that is all I'm going to write. Thank you to everyone who has voted for me for photo of the month I truly do appreciate it. So I'm gonna go and snuggle with mom while she's sitting still long enough.

What Makes For A True Doggie Friend-I've been Tagged!

OK so my pals Butchy and Snickers have nicely tagged me to name five (5) things that make a true doggie friend. I'm hoping I do this right because I'm not sure if they mean what it is I should do or what it is my humans should do.
So here goes brace yourselves folks!

1. Always ready to lend an ear or two!

2. Always up for a snuggle time.

3. Can keep a lap warm.

4. Wearing the funny stuff mom buys for me.

5. And last but not least gladly giving away my free kisses to whomever asks!

Now Butchy and Snickers since I am still a young pup I am not sure if that is what you wanted and quite frankly neither was my mom but she said I should just write down what I thought. So to whomever I tagged next please forgive me if my directions weren't clear enough. I wish I got creative like Butchy and Snickers and added pictures but mom's pictures aren't good as Linda's. Mom asked me to let Linda know that she wishes she had your talent! Now I must go and tagged 5 people to do this cool idea.

Rainy Days

I love rainy days. Not so much for the fact that I hate the rain falling on me but for the simple fact that I get snuggle and play time with my mom and dad. There is nothing like just laying in bed with mom and being all snuggled next to her. It's the best thing in the world.
Then to top it off dad is off today so I got special play time with my dad. But the best part? We got to play alot together today. Oh man what a lucky guy I am.
We then went to the park when it cleared up for a bit and I got to run around like a mad man and catch my favorite frisbee. I also met up with a cocker spaniel. That dog wasn't into playing with me but hey that's fine whatever as mom says. My mom starts school in a little over a week and they are deciding where I should go during her in school time. They keep mentioning something about how I'd just be better going with her. Not a bad idea if you ask me. I could go around with her and help her carry her books. Mom's patiently counting down the days. Grandma mentioned something about wait 'til next week she'll be a basket case. Oh speaking of grandma it seems she fractured her toe helping great grandma the other day. So she's home with me and I can go snuggle in bed with her later tonight. I should help her get around the house. Yep it's true folks I am quite the snugglebug.

So I found out that my friend Tilly is doing well and she's romping around her yard and jumping in true terrier fashion. Keep up the good work my friend. Now my friend in Argentina Chechu has a new human baby brother Fede. Congrats to Chechu and new mom Jesica.
Oh did I mention they've nicknamed me destructo? Yep I've managed to take down the bird feeder with my backyard lead and the old light pole that apparently still had some "juice" in it. Don't know what juice is but I had a blast doing it.
Mom says that if you need anything torn down give her a call she'll send me over to knock it down for you. Grandma just shakes her head at me and great grandma says she doesn't know what they'd do without me. Am I going somewhere and no ones told me. Mom then reassured me it's just a saying. Oh ok that's fine then. Well I'm going to go back to my duties as the official house snugglebug. I like that nickname better than moms newest one for me.

My day at the dogwalk

Well let me start off by saying I had such a good time doing the dog walk and I met so many new friends. I went with mom and dad which is always a good time. They had a bunch of snacks to hand out and dog frozen yogurt which tasted pretty good. My friend Amanda was there from Paws of Distinction and they got a picture with me and her. She said she's been enjoying my dog walk along with the other lady that was there from Paws. I am sorry I didn't catch her name.
That's Amanda and me at the dogwalk.
We then went to a bunch of other tents and I got to meet a few pit bulls who were really fun to play with. We also went to a fortune teller who read my paws and told mom that I'd live a long happy healthy life. Wow she's good.
I did run into my buddy Barron from our river walks that mom does with me weekly with nasty Gulliver. I also ran into my good friend Kodiak. Oh I haven't seen Kodiak in a couple of hot months. We played around a bit and mom made sure to get his picture this time. On the left is Kodiak and on the left is Barron.
So unfortunatey we didn't get to meet Annemarie Lucas face to face it was getting too hot and too late into the walk for it to happen and plus my mom forgot to buy more batteries for the camera and we didn't get as many pictures as we would have liked. But we did get me microchipped and now I'm good to go in case I get lost. Then came the best part dad bought me a hamburger to munch on. Oh man I love hamburgers off the grill I get them sometimes when mom or dad is grilling. The goody bag was a nice treat and mom got a shirt on it for raising an extra $25 plus. I got some free food samples a frisbee which lasted about 20 minutes. Some treats and a calendar for the rest of this year. That gave mom a good chuckle. I also saw two other wire fox terriers that weren't related to me. Mom was surprised to see two of them they were tinier than me and both girls. The people that we ran into kept complimenting mom on how well behaved I was and how handsome I was. She did get a bit upset because they kept thinking was a girl. Geesh I don't blame you there mom. With a name like Ozzy what did they think I was?! We had great weather but it was hot for me and mom. I did try the agility course and that was fun though mom was surprised I did it so well and caught on so fast. What does she think I am an idiot? I don't know about her somedays. I did find that mom was being followed by another dog a great dane. This chick kept walking up to my mother and followed her around. She pointed out to me that the great dane was behaving and listening to her better than I usually do. Well being that big I'd try to listen better too. What does she expect from a terrier? So we finally went home after a long day of walking, shopping, and hanging out.
So Sunday comes along and I'm a snoring pup in between mom and dad when that nasty alarm goes off signaling that it's time for us to get up. Well I wasn't happy to hear it I knew dad was home there was no need to get up. Mom then tells me it's time to get moving we have plans for the day. Well wait what plans? She didn't discuss them with me. We were going to my favorite place the dog walk! Oh what fun more dealing with Gulliver. But wait we pull up and who's there but my girl Shayna. Oh how happy was I to see my friend and big buddy. Gulliver of course started immediately and mom told dad to just keep walking she goes over and tells Gulliver to back off and stop it. YAY mom. Well finally Shayna sees what Gulliver is doing and boom she puts him in his place. God I love them dominate females. So we go for an extra long walk and I have my human buddy Jesse walking along with me and telling me his funny Ozzy stories. I missed that kid last time we were there. We finally come around that corner and what do I see but the beach and the river that means yep I can get dirty and smelly. So we hit the beach and mom's stil got me on lead just because she wants to go in the water with me and here comes Gulliver for round two. Well I don't know who was faster my friends my fearless mom or my Shayna. They were both right there telling Gulliver to stop it. Gulliver's mom needs to pay more attention to her pup. So we finally decided it was time to get moving we had some yard work to do. Mom did get me a new scarf because it benefitted the Aussie dog Rescue. She says anything to save any kind of animal. So here is my picture of me and dad eatting our burgers and hanging out like guys do.

These are some other dogs that I met at the dog walk. So let me finish this off by saying sorry it took so long to post. Tilly is doing much better. Also let's keep those who lost their lives today on 9/11/01 in our prayers. Mom says it was quite a tragic day. Take care.

Alot of good news this week!

Well it's been almost a week since I last posted and I've gotta admit I've been a bit busy with mom and running errands with her.
I do have some good news on my friend Tilly whom I've posted prayer requests on my blog. Tilly has her tube out and is actually doing VERY well. She's walking on her own with just a little stubbling which happens to all of us. She is even back to her mommy duties of cleaning her sons face when she feels it needs to be and playing with him like a good mum should. Way to go Tilly that's showing 'em what a terrier 'tude is all about!
Now onto Dean-O he WON!!! Yep that's that's a WFT is officially pet of the month. Way to go Dean-O I hear you destroyed your prize winning toy in true record time! Makes me proud to know I'm not the only one who has the skills to tear into a stuffed mallard like that. So that will be $1000.00 well earned dollars going to a fabulous cause. Now mom's on a kick to help out Rowdy because she heard through the list that he needs it to pay off his own medical bills.
OK let me not forget to thank my buddy Axel. He won cool site of the day for yesterday 9-2-06. That's terrierific my friend. Here's the link if you haven't already accessed it through Ax's blog. http://dogmark.net/indexint.html.
Oh yes and my friend Fee has been busy helping her folks redecorate for their upcoming wedding. Nice job I saw your handy work Miss Fee and I don't care what they say you did a awesome job in helping out. Congrats to your mom and dad on their upcoming wedded bliss!
I just wanted to say thank you for the kind words on my bully Gulliver. I will be showing grandma later how other dogs out there agree with me on the bully that he is.
So next weekend is the dogs walk for the SPCA and mom is bugging dad to go with her and me for this worthy cause that is also close to her heart. So mom is on a mission to make dad go with us and do this little walk with us.
This walk is close to her heart because it is how we got the kitty 12 + years ago so she has to repay them for giving her that cat. Yep that cat I might not care for her but mom and grandma and great grandma do. So as I always hear I will be nice to the kitty and walk for her. Plus the big bonus for me!? I get to walk with other dogs and make new friends. Oh and the lady from Animal Precint Annemarie Lucas will be there as the Grand Marshal of the event so mom will enjoy meeting her if it's at all possible. I'll be sure to post pictures of the day when it takes place next Saturday 9-9-06. Well I'm gonna get moving. Enjoy yourselves and be good.

Ozzy
